Job Title: Financial Controller - China
Job Location: Beijing
Responsibilities:
TAKEOVER / PROJECT DUTIES:
· Local responsibility of financial takeover in the areas of:
- Supervision of financial processes and reporting in target, risk analysis and risk reporting
- Integration to financial systems to China
- Implementation of financial reporting and principles
- Specific tasks and projects assigned by CFO
ONGOING DUTIES IN CHINA
· Financial books and reporting.
- Preparing monthly IS, BS and cash flow statement based on the group reporting standards.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet specifications and internal analysis reports
- Intercompany items reconciliation
- Tax reports and filing
- Other tax related issues
· Year end and quarterly closing: corporate accounts, statutory accounts, tax returns
- Preparing statutory accounts acc to Chinese laws
- Preparing corporate accounts acc to IFRS / company standards
- Preparing tax returns in cooperation with HQ finance / tax advisors
- Managing audit process locally
· Daily and monthly BC financial routines
- Preparing month end closing accruals
- Revenue reconciliations with operator(s)
- Operator invoicing
- Profitability and cost analysis
· Cash management (reporting of actuals & forecasting).
- Managing cash flows on day to day basis
- Cash flow reporting
- Cash flow forecasting acc to schedules
- Working capital tracking, reporting and analysis
· Forecasting
- Involvement in budgeting and monthly forecasting.
- Involvement in weekly forecasting
- Developing and improving KPI forecasting
Basic Requirements:
- Age 32-37 years
- University degree in finance
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Solid understanding of both Chinese accounting standards and IFRS (or US GAAP)
- Understanding of Chinese taxation and basic financial regulations
- 4-5 years of audit experience + business experience
- Intelligent, highly reliable and able to execute assigned duties under time pressure
- The Financial Controller needs to have very strong accounting and reporting skills, and knowledge of local taxation.
- She/he needs to be analytical, responsive, highly reliable and active team player both with HQ finance and Country Manager.
- The working capital management (receivables, payables optimization) is one of key duties,
- The person needs to be senior and strong enough to negotiate with operator(s) and other business parties.
