people who wrote this piece might have never been overseas before. Men from different races and nations often judge physical beauty based on totally different dimensions.
So american boys and European boys are also chaser of "beautiful" girls, but only on different criteria.
So so-called "ugly" girls in China might be popular with German or French boys. That's normal, do not tell me the bullshit like

If you watch US TV or movies, you know that Americans are very appearance-obsessed.
Men around the world are the SAME in nature, so are the ladies, human beings, by nature, prefer "beautiful" ones.
P.S: when I was in Europe, I lived with many college students in one big student building. Since that school is very international with students from 15 different countries, I wined and dined with many of them and made friends with them. I once tested those boys with pics of some Chinese ladies and asked me to rank based on "perceived" beauty, their ranks are very different from my judgement.
I once talked with Dr. Hauffman from one UC Campus (from psychology dept). We noticed that both Asians and Europeans (while Americans are just mixture of different Europeans) can not easily remember counterparts' faces. It takes time to remember the faces for people from different races and confusion is more often in that situation, but not if your friend is a person of your same race.
He told me that psychologists have long time documented that phenomenon. People got used to the face composition of people of the same race and always have difficulty if put in another continent.
That author needs to learn more before giving ignorant bullshit everywhere. It is not the first time I saw this piece of notice.
