"不是很多中国人那样功利的信." I don't know how you have reached such a conclusion?? Based on my very limited observation, almost all of our local service-oriented people such as lawyers, insurance guys, real estate agents, car dealers, and some doctors who have their own offices go to churches, while people with other professions are not necessarily church-goers. I asked some insurance guys before about this and was told: "I go there to meet my old and new clients! stupid!"
Is that so? you guys may check with your local friends. What I try to say is your comment does not belong exclusively to some Chinese Americans, period. 
Let alone some mob members or Enron crooks do bad things for six days of a week and go to church for one day for forgiveness.
