葡京used to be the only game in town and, therefore, they have NO REASON to treat players even 10% as good as those in Vegas.
Now that Sands got in, "the party is over."

I started my 10-yrs Casino winning at Sands in 1986.
u buy a coupon for US$40 from an agent in San Francisco [The agent made $40 for her bringing a sucker to Vegas, easy money.]
u then take the coupon and $300 cash to Sands, got $400 promotional chips ($25 each) -- It would be 20% profit if u could make even [U can make 18% theoretically if u r as inhuman as I am -- see below for what I mean by "inhuman"]
u have to play at least $25 per hand, exactly my one-month salary back in China at that time
if u win, u win regular chip, which can be cashed out at cage

I went to Macau 1.5 yrs ago and 葡京 gave u HK$50 if u buy HK$1000 promotional chip, which is 0.5% edge, but no game at casino has less than 2% edge.
Note that this HK$50 bonus was only AFTER Sands came to Macau. Otherwise, u would get 1.2% if u are willing to risk HK$50000 and hold an HK ID card. [u would then lose at least 0.8%, but u get free room, meal and shows]
Now u know why I do not gamble at Macau.

Why?
No players are as inhuman as l am
What is human then?
When u win, u bet bigger, to win more
When u lose, u bet bigger, to recover loss
I am the only inhuman player I have seen in my 10-yr Vegas life because my elder son does not gamble.
