Visteon's 23 facilities in U.S.A. and Delphi's 26(?) facilities in North America are up for sales. The 23 Visteon facilities were returned to Ford under the name of Automotive Component Holdings, LLC. These Visteon and Delphi plants and tech centers are in powertrain, vehicle controls, interior, exterior, electronics areas. 65 companies, mostly non-U.S. companies who want to grab Ford's business, have expressed interest to Ford.
Some of these plants and tech centers own critical technologies and processes that are extremely valuable to China domestic auto industries, both for OEMs and tier suppliers.
