We are an offshore software consulting and development company focusing on developing business process management applications. While we are a small company, software that we developed is being used by fortune 500 corporations and large organizations.
We have a need to hire a Project Manager who will serve as a liaison between the client's system engineering team and our software development center in China. Major responsibilities for this position include:
1. Lead the offshore development team to manage the on-time delivery of project deliverables to customers and provide leadership and advice to customers;
2. Perform extensive quality control throughout the whole product development life cycle;
3. Define and ensure the use of quality software development processes and methodologies;
4. Define, analyze and document project scope, requirements and delivery schedules;
5. Manage client expectations;
6. Assist in capitalizing on new business development opportunities with both existing and potential customers.
Required skills:
1. 5+ years project management experience, ideally in a US corporation;
2. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with relational database design and MS .NET development framework for major business applications;
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and business users;
4. Very fluent English language skills;
This position will be based in Guangzhou, China. The job will require a daily working schedule that will cover part of the US working hours and part of the China working hours. This job will also require travel to visit customers’ site and our San Jose office on a periodical basis.
