Delivery Manager - Web Middleware Enablement - English - Shenzhen

Job Description:
This role leads, manages, maintains and supervises the Web Middleware Enablement team as a First Line Manager in globally integrated environment.
This role is accountable and responsible for
- managing Web Middleware Enablement team and its service providing to IBM’s customers;
- ensure the operational processes, procedure, work-instructions are appropriate followed;
- understand the SLA (Service Level Agreement) among different
customers/environments;
- ensures high level of client satisfaction; aggressively risk taken, interact with PE, DPE and customers to drive business opportunity and growth for the team.
It will also need to maintain mutual trust relationship with customers, maintain effective communication channel with them and manage their expectation.
As the First Line Manager, this role will also need to:
- manage team climate and morale,
- build the solid stable team,
- help the team continuously improve operational skills in order to deliver better quality services;
- be able to setup scalable resource/skill strategy,
- drive it through implementation to ensure demand fulfillment as per business growth;
- make sure the team complies with company policies and other regulations.
As the technical leader of the team, the First Line Manager will also need to:
- understand the enterprise architecture, the various integrations and interactions of Middleware products;
- be able to provide guidance and coaching to team that contributes to the technical functional capability;
- act as a coordinator and point of escalation during problem recovery activities.
Regarding the team to be managed, the Web Middleware Enablement team supports numerous middleware products across a variety of OS platforms (including Windows, UNIX, Linux, Mainframe, etc.) and on new specialized platforms like LVS (Linux Virtual Services on the z9000 systems).
We provide transition as well as steady state support. The products include
- all commercially available Web platforms (Apache, iPlanet etc.),
- the major commercial application servers (including IBM WebSphere AppServer, BEA WebLogic, etc.),
- integrated messaging products (IBM WebSphere MQ, Message Broker, etc.),
- IBM WebSphere Portal, WBI and Commerce Suite, content manager products (Interwoven OpenDeploy, Vignette, etc.)
- Security products (IBM Tivoli Access Manager, Tivoli Identity Manager, IBM Directory Server etc.).
This support requires not only technical excellence in the delivery of the specific products but also crisp communication with our customers, the project offices and cross- IBM delivery organizations.
Required:
- Fluent English in both Spoken & Written;
- Familiar with middleware related technology and products (Such as Java, SSL, WebSphere, Unix);
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;
- Strong planning, organizational, analysis, facilitation, and decision making skills.
- Be able to work on dynamic workload and pressure;
- At least 6 years experience in IT industry;
- At least 2 years experience in management of Service Delivery;
- At least 1 year experience in People Management;
- Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred
- At least 3 years experience in management of Service Delivery;
- At least 2 years experience in people management;
- Knowledgeable about middleware products and enterprise architecture;
- Certified for ITIL;
