You will be responsible for a department of Mechanical engineers, who all work in development projects with daily task report to professional R&D Project Managers. You will be a member of the R&D Centre Management team, who sets the direction in a fast growing organisation.
Key responsibilities are:
• Establishing and leading a high performance department
• Secure Mechanical design knowledge and skills match the demands from the projects
• Secure strategic competence mapping and development with alignment in the Global network
• Coaching employees, create training plans and secure career development plans
• Participate in steering committees to secure R&D projects are on track
• Lead organizational development and change projects to secure an agile organisation
• Participate in the R&D Centre Management team to set the direction and secure alignment
• Drive projects towards rough scoping in the early phase before project manager are allocated
• Mature ideas for further market evaluation
What are your education and experience
You hold a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering and preferably a diploma/course in Project Management and/or courses in Business administration – or alike, for Business understanding. It is a must that you have a good track record – 5-8 years - in managing New Product Development projects and/or people management in a R&D organisation from an international company as well as minimum 5 years engineering experience in product design, manufacturing methodology, testing, etc. within the electronics field. All in all we are looking for a candidate with minimum 10 years of experience within R&D, coming from R&D Engineer and today holds a Manager position of some kind within R&D.
