Description Purpose

Specifically, its CN enables global trading by providing the leading cross-border online platforms in the largest export-driven economy China. We connect millions of Chinese sellers with ’00 millions of overseas buyers; we also enable Chinese buyers to find unique and authentic items from the most trusted sellers around the global.



China Marketplace Development team is based in Shanghai and takes full responsibility of CN revenue target by designing and executing end-to-end initiatives and solutions on generating local market awareness, driving local seller acquisition and activation as well as growing trading activities in a dynamic global online marketplace.







This role will:



1.Be responsible for overall offline seller acquisition for website in China, including TeleSale team in Shanghai, and field sales team in Shanghai, Wenzhou and Shenzhen

2.Budget, plan and execute programs to meet the national business target

3.Lead the acquisition/sales team to develop contacts/relationships and sign deals with key merchants

4.Develop business opportunities via partnering with different channels e.g. industry associations, shipping service providers, university associations, etc.

5.Work closely with functional team in BD, Marketing, AM, Product, and other teams to grow the seller/merchant business after signing the deal

6.Be an opportunity for a high achiever to be part of a dynamic, high growth and fast-paced organization.





Responsibility/Activity



Lead 3 regional sales teams to develop contacts and sign deals: (approx 70%)



1.Identify national business opportunities and contacts via events, seminars and exhibitions, other online communities/trading platforms, local relationships and partnerships

2.Sign the deal to onboard the sellers/merchants onto eBay for online exporting activities

3.Budget, plan and execute the programs to meet business target

Work closely with functional team in Marketing, AM, Product, and other teams to grow the business of signed merchants on ebay



Lead Shanghai TeleSales team to convert contacts to eBay active seller: (approx 15%)



1.Prioritize the contacts generated by online marketing teams and convert them to eBay cross-border sellers

2.Provide the support and develop the relationships to activate the sellers and grow their online exporting business on eBay marketplace



Provide handholding programs to the new/small merchants to grow their eBay volumn (approx 15%)



1.Develop and execute the high-touch programs to improve new/small merchant sales activities and performance (both business and trust&safety) on eBay, and to reduce seller churn

2.Lead business consultant team to solve the inquires/issues identified among eBay newbie merchants/sellers





Qualifications



1.Education or professional



University and Degree Qualified; A plus in Business, Economics, Computer Science (or analytical discipline).

Track record of academic, professional or entrepreneurial achievement.



2.Experience



At least 7 - 8 years sales/business development experience in enterprise sales familiar with e-commerce

Track record in managing over 30-50 staff sales org, good know-how on how to build up and scale the org in a speedy yet healthy manner

Strong ability to keep productivity level high through system/process design and implementation (good understanding of CRM)

Both able to think strategically and roll up the sleeves and execute

Demonstration of strategic orientation and tactical business sense within highly competitive and fast-paced markets

An independent, proactive and effective player under pressure

Experience in Trading companies/platforms is a plus



3.skills



Must have good understanding of sales compliance/governance design and implementation

Great integrity

Fluency in both English and Chinese (spoken & written)

Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, ability to self-educate and work autonomously with minimal supervision

A fast worker, committed to meeting targets and deadlines

Excellent, solutions-focused interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to extract insights from data analysis, and PowerPoint presentation skills

Outstanding leadership and influencing skills, strong attention to details are pre-requisites

Results oriented and self motivated, takes the initiative, thinks through things and makes things happen

Passion for the internet

Willing to travel extensively
