Brief Job Description:
The Research Analyst will be supporting PRTM’s business development efforts and client projects through the
systemic evaluation of companies, industries, businesses, products and services. The successful candidate will
assist consulting teams by providing insights that serve as critical inputs for the development and delivery of
consulting services. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes initiative, and works effectively both in teams and
independently, and is looking for an opportunity to broaden their exposure to business/operations management
across industries or the consulting industry.
This role is based in our Shanghai office, some travel may be required, but more importantly the candidate will be
required to maintain open and responsive communication with colleagues around the globe.
Responsibilities:
• Complete company and industry research in specific product categories
• Coordinate with vendors about site visits, data needs and general capabilities
• Network with supply chain related organizations and government agencies
• Deal with enquiries from US and Chinese based internal clients regarding specific industries and
companies
• Maintain a benchmarking related data base, including data input, data update and data maintenance as
well as related data analysis report generation.
• Generate PowerPoint presentations and reports to internal and external clients
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
• At least 2 years work experience, ideally in a similar role
Skills:
• Good analytical skills, strong work ethic and ability to complete multiple tasks to specific deadlines
• Effective communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Team orientated, actively looking for ways to support colleagues
• Strong PC skills especially in MS Excel (and ideally MS Access) and PowerPoint. Familiarity with
Benchmarking databases is also an advantage
