I arrived Dumaguete yesterday noon and has 6 dives until now.
You'd better stay in Alona beach, Panglao, Bohol for 2-3 days and spend 2 days diving in Balicasag. Don't dive along Alona beach, not good at all.
Then take a speed boat to Dumaguete, just 2 hours. 8:00 or 5:30 departure time. If you take the 8:00 boat, you can still have 2-3 dives at the same day. and stay in Dauin, 15 km in the south of Dumaguete city. don't stay in the city if you just like relaxing and diving.
I went to a dive site today. Only 40 meters from the beach. Visibility not very good, about 8m i think. There are numerous hard coral in big variety, seamlessly covering the entire ocean bottom. Lots of various fishes and sea plants, many of them I didn't see in Balicasag.
Tomorrow I am going to apo island. DM said it is far better.
If you go to Bohol, fly to TAG airport. Don't fly to CEBU. And if you come to Dauin, Dumaguete, fly back from Dumaguete airport, which can save you time.
better book now. I heard the hotel is fully booked.
I am staying in Mike's Dauin Resort now. Very nice.
