Position:Production Manager
Main Responsibilities
• Management of all manufacturing operations with overall responsibility for cost-, quality and on-time delivery of all respective product types.
• Provide input for AOP (annual operational planning) and takes care for deployment and realization of related targets (realization of operational targets according AOP, like machine availabilities, scrap rates, # of customer complaints)
• Assure development and execution of manufacturing schedules in alignment with supply chain management.
Implement lean manufacturing technologies to continuously optimize cycle time and inventory levels
• Ensures highest quality standards that fulfil the Zero Defect OEM requirements of customers (ensures that only products according specification are leaving the factory).
Initiation and realization of respective improvement plans for production.
• Set-up and maintain a Zero Defect Mindset in the production organization (like 5S/housekeeping).
• Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities and materials.
• Support of quality manager regarding customer complaints and quality improvements
• Ensures a strong alignment of the local production organization with the “mother factory” in Europe: Use of same procedures, specifications etc., Sharing of performance data, Agreement of needed support, Alignment/release of changes.
• Build-up and maintain a high level of technical knowledge in the production organization
• Assure that all safety and environmental laws and rules are adhered
• Manage production staff to maximize motivation and involvement and minimize fluctuation.
• Management Team member of local industrial organization
Job/Personal Requirements
• Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or similar
• Know how in manufacturing management
• Good communication skills (English and Chinese)
• Excellent people management (motivation, involvement, development).
Experiences in managing a production team / department.
• Technical competences and experiences in assembly processes and automated production equipment.
• Experiences in Automotive environment preferable
insights in OEM customer requirements, “zero defect requirements and approaches
• Knowledge in quality management tools (like 5S/housekeeping, process control/SPC, statistical tools, MEDIC/PDCA etc.)
• Accurate and delivers quality results with a strong Quality-mind-set
• Can work well in teams, good co-operation with others.
• Capable to operate and communicate on different levels in the organization.
• Is flexible in availability and mobility to travel to Europe (Germany) for training and business meetings.
