Manager, Sensors Lab
职位描述及要求

Strategic planning/Vision: The research environment requires long term planning and that requires in turn the ability to see into the future and decide what path the team should take. While this function will be provided by the higher management, it is expected that the manager of the group develops proposals for long term technology development needs that will align with company's growth plans.
Entrepreneurial spirit/Intelligent risk taking: The advanced research organization takes on high risk/high payoff projects. This requires an entrepreneurial spirit from the manager and the entire team, where the team is willing to commit to taking a completely new concept through the development phases and into a new product for the company.
Education:
Individual shall have graduate education in a technical field (Ms or PhD in one of the following fields: EE, MEMS, Materials Science, BioChemistry, Physics) with some training and knowledge of business aspects.
Work experience:
At least five years of work experience in advanced technology, with increasing responsibilities in technology management. The preferred candidate will have several years of experience in managing large programs, leading teams of 5 to 10 people and managing significant budget.
Three to five years of overseas work in a large company/multinational corporation.
Specific Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; ability to communicate succinctly and clearly at executive level;
Positive, can-do attitude, inspiring and motivating the team;
Results driven;
A track record of being independently responsible and entrepreneurial
Clear evidence of leadership and the ability to get things done in a matrix environment
Able to identify creative solutions to overcome organizational barriers
Excellent project management skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong supervisory skills with an ability to work across organizational and international boundaries
Good understanding of the research/development/new product introduction cycle;
Ability to lead change
Foster teamwork and diversity across functional boundaries
Identify strategic opportunities and use sound decision making to implement
