Job Responsibilities:
- Administering placement tests.
- Classroom management.
- Planning, preparing and delivering ESL lessons to a range of students and different age groups.
- Designing differentiated TOEFL programs for students based on different English proficiency levels and different backgrounds.
- Conducting on-going assessments to measure students’ progress.
- Helping students improve English skills in grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Helping students achieve targeted TOEFL score.
- Organizing and getting involved in social and cultural activities such as sports competitions, school parties, dinners and excursions.
- Serving as a liaison between the student, family, school and community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or other related fields.
- Ability to engage students with different English levels and learning styles.
- Willingness to relocate to China.
- Sense of responsibility.
- Organizational skills.
- Keep observation skills and the ability to tailor instruction to meet each student’s individual needs.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Additional qualities:
- Masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, or TESOL.
- Knowledge of Chinese or other languages
- Experience teaching ESL or TOEFL in multi-cultural settings
- Experience working in a K-12 school
- Have taken TOEFLibt before
