To ensure that appropriate financial information and expertise are available to support and challenge Group decision making, particularly related to assumptions, forecast and benchmarks as well as to safeguard Groupinvestments in Asia Pacific from a risk management perspective.
To provide advice on financial issues in connection with various projects and acting as a business partner for the regional Operational, Commercial, Portfolio/Strategy and HR departments.
Responsibility
• Responsible for performing business controlling, reporting and monitoring of assigned terminal portfolio including assessment of results and performance and risk management.
o Improve quality of bookclose, forecast, planning, budget, and upsides/downsides
o Cost visibility to drive cost reductions
o Profitability enhancement (deep dives)
o Drive business performance via terminal dashboards
o Establish and drive COMPANY finance priorities
o Comments and recommendations on monthly reports and board files
o Net working capital optimization
o Finance-2-Finance calls
o Investment follow up (warnings/recommendations)
o Tax planning
o Transfer pricing supervision
o Funding optimization/financing committees
o Contracts, logs, filing
o Internal audit and follow up
o Audit questionnaire and follow up
• Interact with other functions in the regional office as well as COMPANY representatives in the terminals to drive performance
o Prepare and coordinate monthly performance calls with terminal appointed representatives
o Monthly calls with terminal management/representatives to discuss development of key financials, e.g. EBITDA, net working capital, liquid fund and follow up with terminal management to improve KPIs.
• Provide support on various corporate finance activities
o Company and project valuation by using different valuation methods
o Assist in terminal re-financing and coordinate bank relation reporting
o Assist in share sales and purchases activities
o Coordinate financial exposure reporting, assist in evaluation of currency and interest rate exposure
Regional Functional Responsibilities
• Ensure the accounts for China COMPANY and interim holding companies are properly maintained in accordance with IFRS in IFS and that all statutory reporting requirements are adhered to.
• Responsible for the accounting, administrative expense reporting and budgeting for the regional corporate office
• Risk management
o Insurance
o Interest and currency exposure
o Holding company funding
Requirements
• At least Bachelor Degree in Finance or related subject.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Possess empathy, personal tact, cultural understanding and strong communication skills.
• Experience in a multinational corporation.
• Well-organized, timely, and persistent.
• Strong team player.
• High drive and focus on quality.
