Principal Java Application Software Engineer
Requirements:
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
Must have
5+ years experience of analysis, design, development and implementation of large-scale OO applications
Strong development experience with OO languages such as Java.
Broad knowledge of Java API, including but not limited to JMS, EJB, JSP, Servlet, JMX, etc.
Strong knowledge of design patterns, refactoring, and unit testing. (Visitor Pattern, Observer Pattern, State Pattern especially)
Agile methodology knowledge, such as Extreme Programming & SCRUM.
Experience with relational database.
Experience with multi-threaded, socket based client/server applications.
Excellent written and oral communication skill, both in Chinese and English.
Experience with internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, xml-RPC)
Experience with Linux.
Experience with Java Event-driven programming.
Strong design and specification skills.
Proven record of rapidly applying new technologies.
Nice to have Experience with C++
Experience with Mac
Experience with javascript, AJAX, DHTML, xml, Dxml
Experience with Video and Audio technologies
Prior Work Experience
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Java technologies.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java Swing technologies.
Responsibilities:
Use the latest tools and techniques (J2EE, xml, Agile methodologies, Web Services, etc.)
Drive the design and construction of a client's complex business problems into innovative technology solutions.
Do hands-on coding and mentor developers (including pair programming).
Be part of a high energy team focused on full life-cycle development.
Minimum Education Requirements
BSCS, BSEE or equivalent experience
Build and Release Engineer
Required Skills:
• Ability to work well with developers, test engineers, and non-engineering personnel across all divisions of Avid Technology.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 Years of industry experience in Build and Release Engineering.
• Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems.
• Shell programming and scripting experience. Perl scripting experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of C/C++ to debug compilation and linking issues.
• Software development experience on both Mac OS X and Windows platforms.
• Proficiency on Macintosh OS X, Windows XP and Vista 32- and 64-bit operating systems.
Highly Desirable Skills:
• Experience with InstallShield.
• Experience with Microsoft MSI package technology.
• Experience with Apple PackageMaker.
• Experience with Apple Xcode.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience managing Mac OS X and Windows build machines .
• Strong interest or involvement in Music, Audio or DSP.
