Embedded Software Manager-US Telecom Company
Working Place: Shenzhen
Responsible for managing the Embedded Software Engineering team in Shenzhen, China
as they develop leading edge telecommunications products and systems.
Oversees teams doing good work correctly the first time with aggressive deadlines,
and directly contributing to the company's bottom line. Will own multiple projects of varying levels of complexity.
Will perform detailed project planning, scheduling, action item tracking, risk mitigation, issue resolution, budgeting and reporting on status.
Requires:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
High-tech project management experience.
Prior line management experience desirable.
Previous hands-on engineering architecture or embedded software development experience in the telecom industry is highly desirable.
Able to work with little direction and be able to multi-task, handle changing priorities, and meet aggressive customer schedules and requirements.
Able to continue work and make good decisions even in the face of ambiguous or missing requirements.
Good intuitive understanding of software, hardware, and systems, and the ability to use that intuition to design rock solid systems and to track down and correct elusive defects.
Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
Fluent written and verbal Mandarin and English.
Prefer knowledge of:
- TCP/IP Networking
- IPMI, I2C, SPI, CAN, RS232 and similar serial protocols
- PCI, PCI-X, PCI Express, and similar bus protocols
- Device driver internals (Linux, Solaris)
- VxWorks or Real-time Linux
Located in Shenzhen, China or in Mainland China and can move to Shenzhen.
